"Why fit in when you were born to stand out"  Dr Seuss

As a late diagnosed neurodivergent woman, I understand the challenges of daily life and how that can impact you.

Maybe you’re at the beginning and curious about your traits, in the process of getting assessed or, adjusting to a new diagnosis. Wherever you’re at in your ND journey, I can help.

Does this sound like you?

When you’ve met one ADHD person, you’ve met one ADHD person, we are not the same but we may share similar traits.

Here are some common traits that clients struggle with but you will have your own mix:

  • Hyper focus on things

  • Can’t focus on things you aren’t interested in.

  • All or nothing

  • Time blind or highly time anxious

  • Low self esteem

  • Feel big emotions and struggle to manage them.

  • Sensitive

  • Difficulty switching tasks.

  • Impulsive and or have addictions

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Can’t stay still.

  • Chatter box

  • You used to have it all in order but since perimenopause it’s falling apart

How can Therapeutic ADHD Coaching help?

Therapeutic ADHD Coaching is a specialised approach incorporating coaching and psychotherapy. It is designed to help you heal from the pain of feeling not good enough, empower you to overcome obstacles, and develop effective coping strategies so you can start thriving in life.

Here are some of the things I can help with:

I can help you see the wonderful things about yourself. All the things you struggle with probably have positive outcomes if harnessed in the right way.

  • Psychoeducation about your diagnosis

  • Helping you understand your unique ND profile.

  • Sensory Profiling.

  • Help you learn to self regulate

  • Heal from the trauma of living in a life you were not designed for.

  • Helping you work out your capacity, when to stretch yourself and when to rest.

  • Help you find new strategies to achieve your goals. (or not talk about goals if that scares you!)

  • Identify your limiting beliefs and set achievable goals.

  • Accountability

How does it work?

Coaching sessions are 50 minutes and ideally need to be weekly to start with so we can strengthen our relationship. It may take us a few sessions to work out what you want and how we can use our time together.

You might want to set goals, use creative techniques or use the time to work out how to get your ADHD to work for you.

After a few sessions we will review and see if how we are working is serving you best.

I can meet you online, in The Caravan Clinic or Outdoors.

You may be eligible for Access to Work funding which will fund the cost of your sessions. Please get in touch to find out more.
